Indonesia: Sumatra

Beaches, water,    palms,      people

then the waves came.

The sunami     swept     everything

from the western shore

tearing coral       from the           reefs

and people from their shoes,     their homes         their families             their lives

but the country's pride shone through

From agony arose determination,

and rebuilding began.

water is both life and death

Aid came     in many forms

and everyone pitched in

Lives, dreams, communities

and health are comng alive again

Walls, too, must be    reconstructed,

and doors

and families

with     new         hope

on Main Street
